Together, we will shape the future of education by transforming lives beginning with yours.The OpportunityWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Vice President of Strategic Foresight to join the Strategy Office at Southern New Hampshire University. You will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and will develop programs to support the University's long-term planning and decision making needs. Our goal is to transform the lives of students and to create paths to economic opportunity through education. You will work with senior leaders across the organization to identify new trends, threats, and opportunities, providing strategic insights that will help the University to stay ahead of the curve.The AVP of Strategic Foresight must be a versatile member of the Strategy Office who can balance responsibilities, think creatively and logically, as well as build partnerships both internally and externally.In This Role You'll Get To: Work with the Chief Strategy Officer to develop future strategies to increase and create new revenue streams for the university.Contribute to iterations of the University's multi-year strategy and provide progress reports to analyze and adjust strategy.Develop and implement a strategic foresight framework to identify and assess new trends, technologies, and risks that could affect our future.Collaborate with teams to analyze data, conduct research, and produce insights that inform strategic planning and decision-making.Conduct horizon scanning activities to monitor new trends and technologies and identify potential opportunities and threats.Communicate strategic foresight insights to senior leaders across the organization to influence decision-making and inspire innovation.Develop relationships with external experts, leaders, and strategic partners to stay informed of new trends and technologies.Provide support for developing strategic narratives for university communications in collaboration with Office of External Affairs and Communications.Facilitate conversations with departments and teams to create desired strategy, understanding of the University's future state, goals, and milestones to ensure desired future.Apply foresight tools and frameworks to bring futures lens to projects in discovery and ongoing projects and orient SNHU towards desired future state.Apply facilitation and consulting best practices to support new initiative priorities for the business.Work with the business to implement prioritization and assessment criteria to ensure we are focused on and driving the right work to achieve our goals.Partner with other University departments including CX, ITS, Campus, OPPI, and others to ensure that priorities are aligned and understood and use the customer value chain to identify our priorities and sequence our efforts.Identify and assess important strategic needs, partner to guide next steps and monitor performance.Support approval discussions of submitted ideas/concepts and help create executive summary reviews for projects to be approved.Manage projects to ensure that the goals are accomplished within approved scope and budget.Prepare reports, budgets, and findings to ensure distribution of information to all interested parties.Other responsibilities as assigned. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, education, or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in strategic planning, operations management, or a related field.
