Position Summary:

The Assistant Wellness Director collaborates closely with the Wellness Director and Executive Director to oversee the health and wellness operations within our community. Your mission: empower residents to thrive by maximizing their functional abilities and ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management:

    • Assist in day-to-day operations related to health and wellness.
    • Implement protocols to enhance resident safety and quality of life.
    • Coordinate with other team members to create a holistic care experience.
  • Resident Support:

    • Engage with residents, understanding their unique needs.
    • Provide guidance on health-related matters.
    • Foster a sense of community and well-being.
  • Education and Training:

    • Stay informed about gerontology trends and best practices.
    • Educate staff and residents on health-related topics.
    • Promote preventive care and healthy lifestyles.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working in a Senior Living Community.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Passion for improving the lives of seniors.
  • Understanding of physiological and psychological aspects related to gerontology.
  • Ability to apply evidence-based practices.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical.
Preferred Credentials:
  • Registered Nursing License preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree preferred.

  • Ability to frequently communicate with residents, families, co-workers, etc. Must be able to exchange accurate information in given situations.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
