Position Summary:
The Assistant Wellness Director collaborates closely with the Wellness Director and Executive Director to oversee the health and wellness operations within our community. Your mission: empower residents to thrive by maximizing their functional abilities and ensuring a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Assist in day-to-day operations related to health and wellness.
- Implement protocols to enhance resident safety and quality of life.
- Coordinate with other team members to create a holistic care experience.

Resident Support:
- Engage with residents, understanding their unique needs.
- Provide guidance on health-related matters.
- Foster a sense of community and well-being.

Education and Training:
- Stay informed about gerontology trends and best practices.
- Educate staff and residents on health-related topics.
- Promote preventive care and healthy lifestyles.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working in a Senior Living Community.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Passion for improving the lives of seniors.
- Understanding of physiological and psychological aspects related to gerontology.
- Ability to apply evidence-based practices.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, TB test and physical.
Preferred Credentials:
- Registered Nursing License preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree preferred.
