Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Location: Central State University; Wilberforce, OH
The University is seeking an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to assist with meeting the goals of guiding and leading the Women's Basketball program with effective management; as well as to promote academic achievement and character of the student athlete, fans, and within the University community. A thorough knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations of Central State University and the NCAA Division II are imperative.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
1. Develop and administer a successful sports program
2. Recruit and develop student-athletes who will successfully represent the institution academically and athletically
3. Actively participate as an effective member of team by completing assigned duties and accepting additional assignments or reassignments.
4. Assists with seasonal peaks.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year collegiate institution.
* 3 years of coaching experience at intercollegiate level with successful recruiting and competitive record.
* Demonstrated commitment to rules/policy compliance and a commitment to student-athlete success both academically and athletically and overall student-athlete well-being.
* Commitment to positive student-athlete experience for the entire team.
* Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
* Attention to details to effectively act on policies necessary and appropriate to Marauder Athletics, including Sports Medicine protocols, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, NCAA compliance manual, and the student-athlete handbook.
* Thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures and the ability to effectively enact them is expected for continuing employment.
* Attention to details to effectively act on policies necessary and appropriate for managing NCAA and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference related compliance.
Other Qualifications:
* Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance is not available for this position.
* Commitment to work obligations to support the department may require work during Central State University's winter break and other holidays.
* This position may be considered an essential position with effective report to work obligations depending on the type of emergency, campus closure, or evacuation.
* Candidates must meet training and background check qualifications
* This position may also require driving responsibility for a Central State university vehicle. Due to driving responsibilities, you must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with CSU's Vehicle Driving policy.
