The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Baseball Coach (Non-Continuing) at Orting Middle School. Orting Middle School, a member of the Plateau League, is committed to providing excellence in all of its extra-curricular programs. The assistant coach will be responsible for supporting the head coach who oversees and runs the entire middle school wrestling program. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Experience in coaching/participating in wrestling Knowledge of wrestling techniques and strategies Be able to meet all W.I.A.A. requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community members Effective written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills necessary to run a solid middle school program Successful experience working with teenage athletes Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship Experience preferred MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Be high school graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program Be at least 19 years of age to be an assistant coach Current first aid and CPR training to include return demonstration trainings (or the ability to obtain) Flexible Schedule Must be available immediately after school - 2:30 pm TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Location: Orting Middle School Work Year: 2024-2025 Middle School Early Winter Season: 10/23/2024 - 12/19/2024 Work Start: Middle school dismissal is 2:25PM, M-Th and 12:55PM on F Salary: OXA Extra Curricular Salary Schedule Appendix A REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics & Activities Questions?
