- Ensure that all chemical rooms are kept closed and locked at all times to maintain safety.
- Perform specific cleaning tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
- Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units/grills in resident rooms and common/recreational areas on a daily basis as instructed.
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures to remove water marks. Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, bathrooms, entrance/exit ways, and common areas.
- Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, damp and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting. Ensure proper caution and safety signs are used for these duties. Clean carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, spot cleaning, and disinfecting.
- Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, and spot cleaning/disinfecting.
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, and more from surfaces using the appropriate cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
- Dispose of waste trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
- Ensure that work areas are kept clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored at all times, including before breaks, meal times, and the end of the workday.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of two years of housekeeping or janitorial experience is necessary.
- Flexibility in schedule, including availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and meet all health and state requirements, including TB and drug testing.
