Location: Northampton,MA, USA
The Collaborative Center for Assistive Technology and Training (CCATT) is a leader in the field
of Assistive Technology (AT). The center is staffed by professionals with extensive classroom
experience and proven expertise in assistive technology tools for students with learning
disabilities, computer access, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and adapted
curriculum solutions.
The CCATT has an opening for a dedicated Part-Time Assistive Technology Specialist who is
interested in joining our experienced and committed team beginning in the 2024-2025 school
year. There will be a potential for growth in the position based on need.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Licensed as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the state of MA
* Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license as
a Speech Language and Hearing Disorders teacher (all levels)
* Must hold active CCC-SLP certification and be in good standing with ASHA
* Willingness to work collaboratively with a wide variety of team members and
stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience working with student populations who use augmentative and
alternative communication (AAC) and/or have alternative access needs
* Demonstrated knowledge of computer access technology, computer-based instruction,
and AAC and alternative access for persons with disabilities
* Experience with diverse school populations and special education processes and
regulations.
Terms of Employment:
* School year position; September - June calendar
* Per diem / up to 14 hours per week, based on referrals
* Not benefit eligible except for workers' compensation benefits
