Serves as a liaison between various Academy departments.Job ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Manages interscholastic team schedules and budgets with the Athletic Director.
- Athletic Liaison: In support of the Athletic Director, serves as a direct link of communication between Admissions and College Counseling.
- Oversees Assistant Coaches and Captains Council: Via regularly scheduled meetings, institute a consistent communication to and from a select group of seasonal coaches and student athletes with the purpose of presenting a variety of relevant topics: DEI, community relations, alumni relations, professional development, mentoring, daily operational program needs.
- Coordinates the transportation, meals, and officials for athletic contests.
- Schedules athletic contests and maintains shared calendar for availability.
- Handles the contracting of athletic contests with opponent schools prior to each season.
- Collaborates, consults, and executes decisions related to contest changes (i.e. inclement weather, travel emergencies, etc.) with the Athletic Director.
- Post grad Advisor/Mentor: Implement onboarding program for postgraduates, enhance wellness and support for postgraduates, support community engagement and leadership structure
- Co-Direct departmental tournaments with Assoc. AD of Operations.
- Supports game day operations in conjunction with the Assoc. AD of Operations and Athletic Director.
- Coordinates Preseason schedules and needs with coaches.
Administrative Management
- Coordinates and supervises the professional drivers and ensures Red Dragon training by coaches.
- Submits athletic schedule to Asst. AD Operations and Sports Information.
- Guides and advises students and coaches when needed and maintains appropriate confidentiality.
- Supports the Athletic Director by providing leadership and direction in the development, administration, and forecasting of the full department operating budget, covering all functional areas.
- Manages and communicates departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains shared calendar with rental coordinator and inputs athletic and PE programming black out periods.
Other
- Collaborates with other Athletic team members to address organizational needs, and initiates, participates in, leads/manages a variety of projects or provides direction on Athletic-related programs and practices.
- Ensures consistency, communication and collaboration in a small yet complex environment.
- Seeks and participates in professional development activities.

- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years as an Assistant Athletic Director or higher.
- Experience in an institutional or campus setting
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work and will require the ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, go up and down flights of steps, lift and push heavy objects as well as stoop, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift.Ability and dexterity to grasp and grip and safely operate sports equipment.Ability to lift and transport up to 30lbs without assistance.
