About the Role
Reporting to the CHRO, the Associate Director, Human Resources Business Partner plays a critical role within the HR team in driving business success. This position will be a key partner to senior leadership of the Novitium Pharma LLC subsidiary of ANI Pharmaceuticals Inc. in building and executing the organization's people strategy and performance initiatives, hiring exceptional talent, implementing HR programs, and coaching managers at all levels. The position works cross functionally to build partnerships and deliver results that support the organizational and functional objectives of the business.
The Associate Director, Human Resources Business Partner works within the HR department at the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility at the East Windsor, NJ location. This position works onsite at the facility four days per week.
Key Responsibilities
* HR Strategy Development:
* Collaborate with the VP, SVP/CHRO, and Human Resources team to develop and deploy HR strategies that align with the facility's business goals and objectives
* Act as a strategic partner to business leaders and managers
* Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the facility remains competitive in terms of HR practices
* Talent Management:
* Lead the HR Manager, who is responsible for payroll, immigration, employee onboarding, and HR technology, and supports talent acquisition, compliance, regulations and employee relations
* Develop, enhance and oversee the performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and employee development plans
* Develop and lead performance management norms like calibration and succession planning, followed by the development of individual career development paths
* Oversee the onboarding experience for new hires
* Identify learning and development needs within the facility and design programs to address them
* Employee Relations:
* Serve as a trusted advisor to facility leaders on HR matters, providing guidance and support on employee relations issues
* Implement and maintain effective employee relations programs and initiatives
* Serve as an unbiased resource for management and employees, specifically with regards to conflict resolution
* HR Technology:
* Oversee the integration and ongoing use of the Oracle HRIS system and other various HR related systems, including the process of keeping relevant data current in the HRIS systems
* Help drive increased automation of the payroll processes for the site
* Compliance and Regulations:
* Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as industry-specific regulations
* Stay informed of changes in labor laws and regulations that may impact the facility, and proactively communicate any needed changes to operating norms
* Have a bias for action with implementing regulatory or compliance corrections
* Compensation and Benefits:
* Manage salary benchmarking, benefits administration, and incentive plans
* Work in partnership with the Director, Compensation & Total Rewards to ensure competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent
* Communications and Culture:
* Provide clear and concise communication on training initiatives, policy updates, cultural initiatives, and HR operating procedures
* Create culturally inviting events and initiatives that support the diversity of the site, which may include various events like Health & Wellness fairs, Product launch celebratory lunches, and holiday events
* Create cross functional relationships with various teams, like IT and Finance, to facilitate collaboration between departments, enabling change
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred, but not required)
* Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience
* Prior experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or a highly regulated manufacturing industry is strongly preferred
* HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus

HR Systems knowledge & experience, with a preference for ADP WorkforceNow and Oracle HRIS systems
