Job Description:
Job Purpose: Yum's strategy team tackles major strategic initiatives for the company and ensures the enterprise and brands are well-positioned for growth. This role will help define and support high-impact growth initiativesfor Yum! globally, support relevant teams with the execution of these plans, and provide reporting and data-driven insights for executives. This role will be located in Louisville, KY or Plano, TX. Salary Range: $ - -96,000 to $120,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors. Responsibilities: Drive and support key initiatives of the strategy team, which may include:
  • Strategic partnerships - cultivate and manage new and ongoing relationships with strategic global partners to ensure best-in-class approaches to growing commercial value and customer outcomes
    • Support commercial contracts and negotiations on behalf of all brands for key partnerships
    • Work with Yum Legal and Audit groups to support the development of agreements and oversee global master framework agreements
    • Work with Brands to manage joint business planning initiatives across the strategic partnership portfolio
    • Work across brands and markets to contribute thought-leadership strategies to grow profitability of key strategic growth partnerships across Yum
    • Digital commercialization - develop strategies for new revenue streams by commercializing digital, data & tech assets into income from the Yum system or external parties
      • Develop thorough understanding of the broader data monetization & tech commercialization landscape, including key tech players
      • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including Digital & Technology, Data and Analytics, and Marketing teams to deeply understand the Yum's data & tech assets and evaluate and prioritize strategic initiatives
      • Build business cases for prioritized initiatives, including resources, capabilities, and timing for execution
      • Partner with Yum and brand teams to help facilitate the execution of prioritized initiatives and refine the strategy as needed
      • Strategic planning and thought partnership - collaborate with brand teams on the strategic planning process, ensuring they have the insights and information required to develop bold, growth-oriented plans
      • Trend assessments - research and analyze major industry trends, competitor moves, and technological advancements and assess the potential impact on the company
      • Executive team presentations - collaborate with senior executives on crafting critical internal and external presentations Qualifications:
        • Bachelor's Degree required; master's degree preferred
        • 5+ years of work experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or finance
        • Experience in key business growth areas such as digital marketing and technology
        • Aptitude for analytical thinking and financial modelling in Excel, adept at working with large datasets
        • Exceptional presentation and communication skills; ability to craft high-impact presentations in PowerPoint
        • Experience in consumer & retail sector either in advisory capacity or industry role (preferred)
