Overview
Associate Accountants have the opportunity to grow into a career in accounting as part of our Financial Development Program. The program allows entry-level accounting professionals to begin working in their field while taking part in a comprehensive program that provides rotations throughout key areas of the Finance department with opportunities for mentorship and structured professional development. Job Requirements
* A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
* Minimum GPA of 3.0 in accounting and overall
* Some work experience and/or extracurricular activities

Your Role in Our Organization
As part of our Finance Development Program, Associate Accountants at Turning Stone Enterprises can begin working in their field while taking part in a comprehensive professional development program that prepares them for the next level within our team. Associate Accountants can expect:
* A one- to two-year rotation in daily Revenue Audit operations
* A one- to two-year assignment in Accounting
* Professional mentorships
* Regular performance feedback
* Structured learning opportunities
Associate Accountants get to experience the many diverse areas our Finance team supports across the diverse portfolio of businesses within Turning Stone Enterprises. From casinos to convenience stores, we do it all!
Successful Associate Accountants who are pursuing a CPA or CMA license can receive financial assistance with our Professional Certification Reimbursement Program.
During the first rotation in Revenue Audit operations, Associate Accountants:
* Work closely with auditors and managers
* Learn a variety of audit procedures across dozens of departments
* Conduct accurate, efficient audits to ensure procedural compliance
* Verify receipts and other source documents for required attributes
* Verify manual calculations and collect audit data
* Investigate any errors and research variances to correct information
* Draft exception reports
* Complete audit worksheets
During the second rotation in Accounting, Associate Accountants:
* Provide support for one or more areas of the resort, enterprise or government operations
* Perform account reconciliations
* Draft journal entries
* Perform financial analysis and reporting
Based on successful performance in the Financial Development Program, Associate Accountants will be prepared for accounting positions throughout the Finance team, depending on candidate interests and available opportunities.
