Our projects are intentionally and thoughtfully designed; positive impact design is at the forefront of all our projects. Our In-House studio is a multidisciplinary practice that is responsible for designing some of the largest and most complex schools in our 1,500+ school portfolio as well as renovation work to existing schools. Our other two studios manage external consultants from design inception to completion. Be impactful!Job Description SummaryThe Associate Architect supports the design and scoping phase of the project and assists project leads in project completion.Job DescriptionResponsibilities include:
  • Assist in the design review of submitted construction documents.
  • Receive assignment from higher-level architects/engineers and review submittals.
  • Assist in the preparation of scope reports for Capital Improvements Projects (CIP) and Capacity/Line projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-schematic, schematic, design development and construction documents, including reports, drawings and simple specifications.
  • Work with a wide range of technical, professional, managerial and support personnel, as well as outside vendors, contractors and government agencies.
  • Assist in the review of submitted scope reports. Attend project kick-off meeting to discuss the nature of the project, budget, and time frames.
  • Assist in monitoring the progress of the construction phase of the project; assist in reviewing bids.
  • Assist in addressing requests for information.
  • Assist in preparing addenda and bulletins.
  • Assist in conducting site observations, preparing field reports, punch lists and deficiency reports, etc.
  • Performs related tasks.
  • Level B will also:
  • Perform review of submittals.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents as part of the design phase of projects (CIP and line).
  • Performs related tasks.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university program in Architecture, and:
  • Level A: One year of full time experience in architectural work, or a satisfactory combination of education and experience;
  • Level B: Two years of full time experience serving as an Associate Architect - A or a satisfactory combination of education and experience.

  • Level A: $59,835.00 - $93,250.00
  • Level B: $63,788.00 - $103,210.00
