Job Summary:
The Associate Art Director will play a pivotal role in shaping Lansinoh's visual identity and oversee the creative process from concept to execution. This individual is responsible for leading the style and creative direction of Lansinoh's content and marketing campaigns in regional and global activations. The Associate Art Director will conceptualize and implement visual design elements across still and video to communicate the brand's vision and objectives, balancing creativity with practical considerations, such as budget and timeline, to deliver visually compelling and impactful results. will lead a team of graphic designers, mentor direct report(s), and manage an external agency to develop visually compelling campaign concepts.
Essential Functions:
- Create engaging and impactful marketing assets for Lansinoh digital outlets and third-party retail partners (web, social, eCommerce, email, banner/social ads ensuring all deliverables are cohesive, polished, and ready for distribution across various channels on time.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Marketing Strategy and Content to develop innovative ideas and visual themes for campaigns.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand goals, translate objectives into clear creative direction to the team, and provide solutions that meet their needs.
- Develop creative concepts based on briefs from Brand/Marketing teams and refine ideas as needed to ensure they align with brand identity and project objectives.
- Collaborate with external agencies to direct, establish, and maintain the visual tone of the brand, ensuring quality and consistency across all materials.
- Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and production partners, providing them with creative guidelines and overseeing their output to ensure it meets brand standards and project specifications.
- Develop and organize monthly video and content shoots with external vendors and freelancers; support off-cycle, in-house content creation and editing as needed.
- Co-develop quarterly shot lists and production set for seasonal campaigns and new product launches based on the annual priorities and brand storytelling objectives.
- Act as the primary creative contact for internal stakeholders and agencies, presenting ideas, gathering feedback and implementing design.
- Facilitate regular meetings, feedback sessions, and presentations with stakeholders and agencies; Maintain open lines of communication to address any creative issues, adjust strategies, and make sure project milestones are met effectively.
- Review and approve designs, layouts, and final artwork, maintaining high visual standards across all deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects and operate under deadlines to produce quality creative assets to support a variety of messaging campaigns.
- Lead and mentor creative report(s) to ensure cohesive and high-quality output; Provide creative direction and constructive feedback, foster a collaborative environment where team members feel supported and motivated, and oversee day-to-day tasks
- Stay current with industry trends and strategically implement relevant ideas into projects.
- Help to modernize brand guidelines and propose new creative initiatives to reinforce Lansinoh's brand heritage and positioning in the marketplace.
- Support packaging design as needed.
Education:
- BA or BS required; undergraduate degree in Graphic Design preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of consistent experience in a graphic design position.
- Experience in CPG, Branding, or Retail environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in building visual brand identities.
- A strong portfolio showcasing work on CPG brands, including packaging design, brand campaigns, point-of-sale displays, digital and print ads, and possibly influencer or social media campaigns.
- Strong creative direction skills with a proven ability to manage a creative team.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas to stakeholders, incorporating feedback, and advocating for the creative vision.
- Proven ability to work with clients, internal teams, and agencies.
Skills:
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
- Working knowledge of After Effects and Premier is a plus.
- Working knowledge of CSS (3), HTML5, and JavaScript preferred.
- Knowledge of Canva and project management tools (ie: Monday.com)
- Experience in both photography and videography required.
- Strong eye for design, color, and composition.
- Ability to inspire and guide creative teams to achieve project goals.
- Proficient in conveying ideas and concepts clearly to clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills for handling multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must be comfortable with giving, receiving, and implementing design feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work comfortably in multiple design programs/platforms and learn new ones.
*This is a hybrid role. All candidates must be comfortable with commuting into an office 2-3 days per week.
