We offer comprehensive support in corporate, litigation, and transactional matters, including drafting amendments to organizational documents, negotiating contracts, handling employee disciplinary procedures, commercial leasing and all litigation matters. Our firm also specializes in handling closings and refinances for commercial and residential properties. With years of experience, we handle a wide range of legal issues on behalf of our Clients. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney at Troia & Associates in New York, NY. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting research, negotiating contracts, handling litigation matters, drafting amendments to organizational documents and be involved in all aspects of closings and refinances for both commercial and residential properties. The Associate Attorney will be required to attend court appearances in Supreme and Civil Courts.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar - applicants pending admission will not be considered for this position
  • Strong background in Real Estate and Landlord/Tenant matters
  • Experience providing legal advice and conducting research
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with condominiums and cooperatives
  • Experience in motion practice
  • Knowledge of trial procedures and trial preparation
  • Microsoft Office and NYSCEF Proficient
  • Experience with Lexis Nexis, ACRIS, HPD, DOB, ECourts, ELaw and/or Landlord/Tenant software is a bonus

Annual Salary $90,000 to $120,000 - commensurate with experience
