Description:
Our client is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with environmental and land-use experience to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Consulting with clients to ascertain the details and merits of each case.
- Conducting research using legislation, case law, and other legal texts as sources.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and various legal and contractual documents promptly and provide detailed reports to partners and/or clients.
- Representing clients at meetings, hearings, and trials.
- Ensuring that data obtained during interactions with clients remain confidential and are stored securely.
- Advise clients with legal recommendations and strategies.
- Increasing business development responsibilities to bring revenue and build clientele.
Qualifications:
- Juris doctorate and admittance to practice law in NYS is required.
- Must have experience with environmental law and land use.
- Litigation experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
