Traub Lieberman is looking to expand its General Liability and Coverage practice group. We are a firm in growth mode, and we are looking for attorneys interested in growing with us. THE POSITION: GENERAL LIABILITY DEFENSE / COVERAGE ASSOCIATE

The successful candidate must be a well-organized self-starter and able to manage tasks and deadlines independently, while keeping key stakeholders informed of case status. Traub Lieberman provides a collaborative team environment, and colleagues gladly offer training and answer questions to support the success of team members. As a member of our team, the attorney will have the benefit of gaining hands-on experience and working closely with partners invested in their professional development and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in New York
• 1 - 5 years experience in General liability and coverage, including defense of New York Labor Law, property damage, premises liability and construction defect or medical malpractice litigation and nursing home experience.
• Superior communication, writing, research, and time management skills
• Ability to independently handle and manage, with Partner oversight, all phases of litigation, with a caseload of 25 or more litigation matters
• Draft motions, discovery demands and responses
• Handle court appearances and depositions
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
