An Associate Attorney with 3+ years' personal injury experience is needed for a hybrid position in Austin. The Associate Attorney will represent clients in personal injury cases, handling matters from intake through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successfully managing personal injury cases, excellent communication skills, and courtroom experience.
Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death cases.
- Conduct thorough investigations and legal research to develop case strategies.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in all stages of litigation, including depositions, motion hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Engage in settlement negotiations and pursue favorable outcomes for clients.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients regarding their case, including assessing liability, damages, and potential outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and experts to prepare for trial and other case milestones.
- Maintain and update case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Stay informed on relevant personal injury laws, case precedents, and court rulings to deliver up-to-date legal counsel.
Associate Attorney Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas. Additional admission in AZ and/or NM is a plus.
- 3+ years of professional experience in personal injury litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
