All our clerical work is done onsite in our Greensburg office. This is necessary to ensure the best possible service and confidentiality to our client.

This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:00AM – 05:30PM with rotating holidays and weekends. Hours during holiday/weekend rotation will be 06:00AM – 02:30PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 134 Industrial Park Rd Greensburg, PA 15601.

We offer 6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be during our normal business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performing all clerical functions necessary to maintain the electronic medical record. Those functions include the steps to scan paper documentation into the EMR.
  • Ability to prep the paper portions of the record, batch scan them and then perform Quality Control and Validation steps to ensure the best image is available in the correct patient's date of service.
  • Provide health information within established HIPAA guidelines for continuation of care (hospitals, physician offices, etc.).
  • Additional clerical assignments may include assigning deficiencies for incomplete records as well as verifying record completion.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience OR 1+ years of office experience
  • Familiarity with using computer and Windows personal computer applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work full time onsite at 134 Industrial Park Rd Greensburg, PA 15601
  • Ability to work during our normal business hours of 9:00AM – 05:30PM with rotating holidays and weekends. Hours during holiday/weekend rotation will be 06:00AM – 02:30PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems OR work experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
  • Experience with health care, medical, or pharmacy terminology
  • Basic understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA regulations in a healthcare setting
  • Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Word (create and edit correspondence)
  • Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, and sort spreadsheets)
  • Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Prior experience in a medical record department/ physician office or experience in related areas including record processing, scanning, document retention, etc.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
