Salary: $74,522.00 - $95,327.00 AnnuallyLocation : Schnecksville, PAJob Type: FTJob Number: 202400210Department: Finance and Administrative ServicesOpening Date: 12/16/2024Closing Date: ContinuousJob Title Associate Controller Duties and ResponsibilitiesSummaryThis position reports to the Controller and leads the Student Account team. The Associate Controller will provide daily oversight of billing and collections operations and ensure goals are set and met through the use of best practices. Duties and ResponsibilitiesDay to Day Duties
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Student Account team, including supervising one direct report and three indirect reports.
  • Oversees all student billing, non-credit billing, and payment plans. Sets all payment due dates, payment plan installment dates, and drop dates.
  • Oversees the collection of all student and company receivables and analyzes cyclical trends to adjust processes as needed.
  • Coordinates the data reporting needs of the Business Office and assists in the implementation of computerized processes that are required or desirable for complying with federal and state standards.
  • Responsible for all Business Office communications including Bursar email account. Works closely with Financial Aid, Registrar, and other student service departments. Coordinates with Financial Aid on all disbursement dates.
  • Coordinates residency requirements with sponsoring school districts.
  • Responsible for the Finance section of the Credit Catalog and Tuition and Fees section of LCCC Website.
  • Reviews reconciliations and analyzes general ledger accounts affected by departmental processes.
  • Responsible for all grant and scholarship fund transactions,
  • Coordinates year-end processes and audit schedules with the Controller for areas within the Business Office.
  • Supports the Controller and other departments on Banner projects and implementations.
  • Participates in Leadership Team and Data Governance Committee.
  • Represents the department as needed both internally and externally.
Technical Duties
  • Works with the college's information technology staff for optimization and automation of business office processes utilizing existing and new technologies, various reporting tools, and 3rd party software.
  • Responsible for the set up and maintenance of Ellucian Banner system tables and electronic processes as they pertain to Business Office functions.
  • Performs a variety of complex and technical duties involving ERP system.
  • Develops and maintains all operations manuals for this department.
  • Carries out special projects as assigned.
Required QualificationsQualifications:RequiredEducation
  • Associate's degree in a business related field from an accredited institution and minimum five years' work experience.
Certifications
  • Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Cogent Clearance Fingerprinting)
Work Experience
  • Experience working in accounting, accounts receivable, collections and systems management.
  • Experience with developing both transactional and analytical reports.
  • Must have supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Proficiency in data management systems and computer applications.
  • Ability to relate effectively and diplomatically with all levels of personnel at the college, and outside contacts.
  • Self-motivation and discipline to regularly set and achieve work goals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and networking skills with large groups as well as with individuals.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or additional credentials related to higher education and/or business management
  • Community College Business Office experience
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Banner and reporting tools such as Argos and MS Access
  • Bilingual
