The Corporate Finance Team at RWE Clean Energy, LLC (RWECE) oversees treasury operations across all Operating Businesses in the Americas, including renewable technologies and RWE Supply and Trading (RWESTA). Our key activities encompass cash and liquidity management, bank account management, collateral management, and cross-functional project management. We are looking for an ideal candidate who understands treasury functions and has at least two years of related experience. This Associate, Corporate Finance role offers long-term growth potential, including leading bank account structures and optimizing cash forecasts. The selected candidate will support the Corporate Finance Group and regularly liaise with key functional areas within the company to support our significant growth ambitions in the Americas.

Responsibilities:

  • Cash & Liquidity Management

    • Assist with the regular liquidity forecasting process and data management, ensuring accurate preparation ofraw data
    • Regularly review cash balances and ZBA functionality to prevent overdrafts
    • Assist daily payment processing across all payment types, includingACH, Wire, & Check
  • Banking Management

    • Manage the opening of new bank accounts and ensure adherence to internal entity cash flow structures
    • Support day-to-day banking operations and interface with partner banks
    • Maintain an internal database of bank account authorized signers and execution of change requests
  • Collateral Management

    • Support the operational management of Bank Guarantee issuance in coordination with project management, the parent company, and banks
    • Run relevant reports for the Treasury Team within internal Guarantee Management System or SAP
    • Process collateral-related invoices uusing the internal ERP system and payment procedures
  • Project Management

    • Support the Corporate Finance Team in creating, visualizing, and documenting of relevant Finance processes within Power Point
    • Monitor team mailbox and respondaccordingly

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in treasury or related field at an established multi-national company
  • Experience with TMS (SAP preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Educational or professional background in Energy business can be helpful
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
