Job Description:

Under supervision of the General Counsel, the Associate Counsel executes the legal department's representation of the business in a manner consistent with commercial objectives and compliant with applicable law. The Associate Counsel is involved with a variety of legal matters affecting the global business, with an emphasis on negotiating and drafting commercial contracts.

  • Support the General Counsel with the drafting, negotiation and administration of client and business partner contracts as directed.
  • Assist with supervision and training of junior counsel. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that the interests of the company are appropriately represented in commercial agreements.
  • Develop and implement compliance-focused processes and procedures.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Required Skills, Education and Experience:

  • J.D. degree and membership in New York State bar is required.
  • 7+ years of legal experience as transactional legal counsel, ideally with a combination of law firm training and in-house experience in a technology company.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player and consensus builder who can effectively collaborate and build relationships with business leaders throughout the organization.
  • Strong MS Office skills and research skills.
  • Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:Full time, Monday through Friday, normal core business hours and as needed on nights and weekends unless otherwise specified.

    Compensation:Good faith annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 plus 15% bonus and is commensurate with experience.
