As an in-house attorney, you will play a vital role in advancing utility-scale solar energy projects by securing necessary state and federal permits and approvals.

This organization has experienced remarkable growth over the past year, winning multiple large-scale solar development contracts. With an exciting year of expansion ahead, this role will be pivotal in shaping their continued success.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal contact for all matters related to project approvals, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to secure permits and approvals, achieving favorable outcomes for critical projects.
• Monitor regulatory changes and maintain compliance to maximize eligibility for federal grants and tax credits.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in land use or environmental law.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
• Preferred experience in renewable energy projects, particularly in solar development.
