JOB SUMMARYUCare Staffing LLC has partnered with an outstanding Healthcare non-profit organization that serves over 4,000 patients across the New York City area. They currently have a need for an Associate Counsel to join their growing team! This candidate will be primarily be in charge of handling a wide range of risk and compliance matters for the clinical and non-clinical functional units at the organization.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with addiction treatment programs and 42 CFR Part 2.

Experience working with New York State agencies: Department of Health, Office of Addiction Services and Supports, Office of Mental Health, and the New York State Justice Center; with federal agencies: Department of Health and Human Services and Drug Enforcement Agency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Law school graduate and current admission to the New York State Bar
  • 2-4 years of post-graduate legal experience in a New York not-for-profit organization or government agency, interpreting and applying federal and New York State healthcare law and policy.
  • Excellent research, analytic, writing, and communication skills.
