Overview
UW Credit Union's Membership Services department is hiring newly created Associate Data Analyst position to support their growth and enhance operational insights. The Associate Data Analyst is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of analytic solutions for the Membership Services team.
This self-driven individual will leverage a variety of analytic methods, tools, visualizations, and modeling techniques to deliver insights to the Membership Services leadership team. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to deep dive into operational processes and recommend data driven insight and solutions.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
* Be a resource to the Membership Services (deposit operations) department to support department planning and initiatives, improve organizational performance and advance department and organizational goals
* Utilize data visualization products, SQL, and other query tools to analyze large quantities of data to gather understandings, develop actionable insights and measure progress
* Identify data-driven business opportunities and deliver analytic solutions through consultations with various internal and external sources
* Maintain and update existing reports and tools based on changes in strategic priorities, the external environment, underlying software, data structure changes or end-user workflows
* Lead project improvements and coordinate large analytics work involving the Membership Services team
* Provide technical assistance for supported applications and remain current on advancements in analytic technologies
Qualifications
What You'll Need to Succeed
These skills and experiences are essential to your success:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
* 1 year: Knowledge of, and hands-on database querying experience is required
* 1 year: Working experience of one of more of the following is required
* Code development using SQL
* Performance Measure development
* Organization, analysis, and modeling of multiple data sources
* Development of data visualizations, dashboards, KPI's, etc
* Tableau development
These attributes and knowledge are preferred but not required:
* Experience working with the following tools:
* Snowflake
* DBT
* Azure (Machine learning, containers)
* Python
* DataOps / Agile experience
* Knowledge of the Principles of Research
* Experience with survey development and analysis
* Certification in Dashboard design
* Financial industry knowledge
