Position SummaryGeneral Atlantic is looking to hire an associate, Data Operations (DBA) as a key member of the Data Strategy team. This position will report directly to the VP, Data Strategy. The Data Operations Associate will work primarily as a DBA on the Investran accounting platform, and as theoperations lead supporting our key data platforms and systems.As a member of the data team, this person will work with our PMO, Infrastructure & Security, and App Dev teams to assist in the support and operation of custom solutions that streamline business processes. He or she will work with the team in an agile environment to drive the development of complex projects from design to development and test. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in supporting data applications with a strong intellectual curiosity and desire to learn the latest technologies.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for administration, monitoring, performance tuning and maintaining all our Database environments both on-prem and Azure SQLMonitor all scheduled jobs for data applications and works with development teams to resolve issuesMonitor database backups and restores for all database environments from DEV to PRODDocument and maintain an Administration manual and runbooksIdentify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance data operations efficiencySupport data-related projects, including data migration, integration, and system upgradesManage permissions for database servers, application databases, and data & analytics applicationsManage passwords for system administration in a password managerProvide on-boarding and off-boarding support for Financial Accounting, Tax, and Data platforms such as Investran, Databricks, Alteryx and Visualization tools (PowerBI / Tableau)Assist in change control, version control, and deployments for all data and analytics applicationsProvide Level 2 support for all data and analytics applicationsProvide automation of tasks and alerting through PowerShell or other scripting languages availableQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, management information systems, or equivalent working experience in information technology2+ years of Financial Services experienceProficient in SQL Server Administration with at least 5 years experience as a DBA, with extensive experience working with the Microsoft stack on a cloud environmentKnowledge of Cloud Data Platforms such as Databricks and supporting ETL operationsFamiliarity with BI / Reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and SSRSContribute towards all reviews of SQL and NOSQL scripts, tables, Views, stored procedures, extended functions in python etc. on the data platformStrong attention to detail with the ability to be proactive, solve problems, think ahead, and multi-task on a daily basisExcellent written & oral communication skillsAbility to identify areas for improvement and present and implement viable solutionsStrong comfort and experience liaising with internal and external contactsInvestran experience a plusFamiliarity with Alteryx a plusAzure DevOps and Terraform a plusGeneral Atlantic offers a robust reward program to all employees that will support you and your family, maintaining fulfilling, secure and healthy lives now and into the future, which includes but is not limited to medical insurance, retirement savings contributions, mental and physical health resources and an equal pay program that allows you to earn a base salary of $120,000 - 160,000 USD of which the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience.
