Why does the job exist?This position will provide administrative management and supervision to statewide Family Outreach, Domestic Violence and Prevention unit leadership. This position will work collaboratively with other management positions within CYFD, as well as in Juvenile Justice and Behavioral Health divisions. How does it get done?
  • Provide effective administrative and clinical management/supervision to assigned Family Outreach, Domestic Violence and Prevention & Intervention Units statewide. 50%;
  • Utilize community partnerships to support the provision of family centered services to those families in need of prevention services. 20%;
  • Conduct quality assurance and performance improvement activities and monitor office to support goods proactive and youth/young adult centered services. 20%;
  • Function in a leadership role and conduct other duties as assigned to achieve agency mission. 10%.
  • Ideal Candidate
  • Experience as it relates to:
  • Working directly with Children, Youth, and their families;
  • Partner with Community Service providers as it relates to Children, and Youth;
  • Working with Youth in a school setting;
  • Determining eligibility for services that might be needed for the Children, Youth and Families;
  • Conduct and complete assessments of safety, risks, strengths, and family needs;
  • Developing Safety plans for the Children, Youth and Families;
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings;
  • Identify, provide, and/or arrange timely assessments/evaluations/ interviews;
  • Conduct medical case management activities for eligible clients.
  • Minimum QualificationA Master's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the positiondefined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling fourteen (14) years maysubstitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include management and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements. Employment RequirementsMust possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results. Working ConditionsWork is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
