Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Associate Designer specializing in socks, hosiery, and slippers to join our dynamic product development team. As an Associate Designer, you will play a crucial role in assisting our product development team and collaborating closely with the Head of Product Development. Your expertise will focus on the technical aspects of product design, including editing CADs, developing detailed tech packs, and ensuring the successful transition from design to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Product Development to develop new collections of socks, hosiery, and slippers.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, materials, and technologies in the sock and hosiery industry.
• Develop comprehensive tech packs, including specifications, measurements, materials, and construction details.
• Assist in the selection of materials, colors, and patterns for product designs.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, and production, to ensure the successful launch of new products.
• Participate in sample evaluations to ensure design integrity and quality standards are met.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor products.
• Assist in the preparation of design presentations and prototypes for internal and external clients.
• Support the Head of Product Development in managing timelines and project deliverables.

Experience and Skills

• Degree in fashion design, or a related field that demonstrates your dedication to the industry
• 2-3 years of Internship experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of the product development process from concept to production.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
• Excellent technical drawing skills and experience in editing CADs.
• Knowledge of materials, textiles, and manufacturing processes related to socks, hosiery, and slippers.
• Experience in developing detailed tech packs for production.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for trends.

Salary Disclosure:

Majesty Brands is committed to offering a compensation package that reflects the qualifications and experience of the individual. The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. While the posted salary range is $65,000 $75,000, we recognize the value of exceptional talent and are open to negotiation for the right candidate.
