Position
As the Associate Director, Bio-Markers, you will play a crucial role in driving the discovery and utilization of biomarkers for our groundbreaking biotechnology solutions. Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, you will lead efforts to identify, validate, and interpret biomarkers, ultimately contributing to the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. This role will require a minimum of 3 days a week of onsite presence (or more as business needs require) in either our New York or New Jersey office to ensure effective management, operational excellence and high-performance delivery of clinical studies and to support the expected significant team growth & collaboration.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in biomarker discovery, validation, and interpretation, possess a strong background in molecular biology, genomics, or proteomics, and be proficient in data analysis tools and bioinformatics. Additionally, they should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, a passion for innovative research, and the ability to excel in a dynamic and interdisciplinary biotech environment.
What You'll Do
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for the identification and application of biomarkers in alignment with company goals.
* Contribute to efforts to identify and evaluate potential biomarkers through data analysis, experimentation, and advanced technology utilization.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, research, and regulatory to develop and implement biomarker plans, contribute to clinical protocols, writing ICFs for clinical trials.
* Contribute to CDx strategy and to execute the implementation of companion diagnostics (CDx) in support of clinical studies.
* Oversee the validation of biomarker assays through rigorous scientific methods, ensuring accurate and reliable results for downstream applications.
* Analyze complex biological and clinical data sets, extracting meaningful insights to inform biomarker selection and interpretation of clinical data.
* Foster collaborations with internal and external partners to leverage diverse expertise and advance clinical biomarker research.
* Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through publications, presentations, and engagement with the clinical teams as well as the scientific community.
Qualifications
* Post Graduate degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor' degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in a relevant field, such as Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in biomarker discovery, validation, and interpretation within a research or biotech setting.
* Strong background in molecular biology, genomics, biochemistry, immunology, cell biology, or other relevant biological disciplines.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools, bioinformatics, and statistical methods for biomarker analysis.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
* Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and presentation of findings.
* Passion for innovative research and technology integration in the pursuit of advancing biotechnology.
* Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and interdisciplinary biotech environment.
* Experience developing companion diagnostics a plus.
* Experience leading biomarker oncology studies a plus.

The expected salary range for this role is $165,000 to $180,500 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
