REPORTS TO: Director of Business Solutions & Partnerships

POSITION STATUS: This is a full-time, non-unit position with benefits. Some nights and weekends will be required.

SALARY: Hiring salary range $91,800.00 - 96,447.38*

* Hiring salary commensurate with education and experience.

STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Associate Director of Business Development is responsible for, but not limited to, the recruitment and outreach of clients and partners for Business Solutions & Partnerships workforce development and trainings and programs. Under the direction of the Director of Business Solutions & Partnerships, the Associate Director implements and manages a strategic outreach and recruitment plan in relation to training and related development services for potential partners within our campus communities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage and implement a strategic recruitment and outreach plan for private, public, and nonprofit organizations in Bristol County, with oversight of and in collaboration with the Director of Business Solutions & Partnerships.

* Responsible for business development and recruitment activities with private sector organizations and priority industry sectors, including but not limited to, communicating with prospective companies through visits, meetings, and calls regarding training programs and college offerings.

* Implement comprehensive needs and process assessments, timeline, and related recommendations for customized training, courses, and services.

* Partner with private sector businesses to support the development and training proposals to the Commonwealth Corporation's Workforce Training Fund program, including but not limited to, needs assessments, comprehensive training program, grant proposal development, and projected and actual project development.

* Oversee the development of private contracts and grants related to workforce training programs and initiatives; develop a comprehensive client project management package including but not limited to, Training Service Agreements, Memorandum of Agreement/Understanding, Letters of Support, Budgets and Request for Proposals within required deadlines.

* Serve as coordinator, liaison, and project manager between different business sectors and both non-credit and academic areas, including those at different campus locations to meet workforce development goals.

* Provide access to and information regarding the college's academic programs, training, and workforce development offerings and services.

* Coordinate with the Director of Business Solutions & Partnerships to ensure engagement with the college's leadership team as well as the academic and campus location deans to develop and identify potential partnership opportunities in alignment with the college's Strategic Plan, goals, and mission.

* Facilitate partnership development in campus communities that align with the college's strategy and mission.

* Utilize labor market information and workforce trends to ensure program portfolio meets market demand and specific market/partner needs.

* Identify potential funding resources and grant opportunities; provide support in the development of contracts and grants related to business and workforce initiatives, in concert with the Director of Business Solutions & Partnerships.

* Network, participate at industry, community, and workforce events and conferences to represent the department and college; develop relationships with regional organizations, consortiums, and industry councils.

* Utilize department's platforms, technologies, and Customer Relations Management systems to manage a comprehensive database of regional businesses and other external organizations for potential clients and collaboration opportunities, as well as to develop and maintain weekly and monthly reports to track activities.

* Participate in the department's communication and social media plan for marketing and recruitment efforts.

* Participate in college events and act as a liaison to build college relationships to serve the regional business communities.

* Oversee the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of direct reports.

* Evaluate performance of direct reports to ensure departmental objectives, goals, and tasks are met. Sets expectations and goals for all direct reports.

* Works continuous improvement with direct reports and identifies potential opportunities for growth.

* Work closely with Human Resources to develop staff capabilities and expectations.

* Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.

* Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that supports the professional growth of staff while fostering a commitment to service excellence.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree

* Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business recruitment, and partnership development with private, public, and non-profit sectors.

* Demonstrated experience in successful partnership development.

* Demonstrated experience in project and relationship management.

* Experience in the development and management of contracts, agreements, and grants.

* Experience with online platforms for project and client management.

* Experience with Microsoft Office 365 programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and social media.

* Ability to communicate effectively using various mediums, such as oral and written presentations.

* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various departments and functions across an institution or organization.

* Reliable transportation in order to travel to and from meetings, trainings, or campus and community locations as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development and recruitment in various private, public, and non-profit sectors.

* Demonstrated understanding of municipal, state, and federal funding opportunities to support the growth of private, public and non-profit organizations.

* Demonstrated experience working in higher education, with a preference for community college experience.

* Experience with marketing and communications platforms, including social media.

* Experience in developing presentations and reports, internally and externally.

* Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
