Job Description
Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Commercial Analytics Oncology. In this role, the ideal candidate will:
Strategic Planning & Brand Performance Tracking:
- Develop data-based insights to inform brand, franchise, and business unit strategy and execution.
- Analyze third-party secondary data such as APLD to establish POV on market direction.
- Conduct analytics projects to inform various business issues, including patient journey analytics, treatment flow analytics, customer segmentation, etc.
- Lead performance/KPI development and reporting enabling a thorough understanding of brand performance and opportunities based on a variety of inputs.
- Collaborate with brand marketing leadership to establish an annual business analytics plan.
- Evaluate potential new secondary data sources and analytics methodologies to elevate the impact of business analytics continually.
Actionable Insights:
- Provide objective quantitative analyses and lead the development of business cases to determine key opportunities and address critical business issues for the brand and/or Therapeutic Area.
- Integrate insights and analyses from various sources to recommend actionable brand opportunities and inform material decisions.
- Collaborate within the department to ensure business analytics context is integrated into Tactic Measurement and Marketing Mix work.
- Identify opportunities and integrate new capabilities from AI/Predictive Analytics.
Stakeholder & People Management:
- Interact with a broad range of internal customers, including VP, executive directors of the brand, marketing team, and IT.
- Establish and maintain business relationships in key segments of the Commercial organization.
- Act as a cross-functional subject matter expert and provide advice on decisions that can impact business operations.
- Manage external consulting resources from a project delivery perspective.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience
- OR
- Master's Degree and Eight Years' Experience
- OR
- PhD and Two Years' Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project tasks and budget management skills.
- MBA or Master's degree preferred with a concentration in healthcare, general management, analytics, or data sciences.
- Oncology pharma experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collate insights from a variety of sources and develop strategic guidance for brand teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; consultative background preferred.
- Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills; ability to gain consensus and act within a matrix team environment.
- Proficiency in secondary data analysis with knowledge of industry secondary data sources (e.g., IQVIA, SHA).
- Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g., MS Excel, Access, MS Word & PowerPoint).
The salary range for this position is: $191,335.00 - $247,610.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
