We are looking to establish a new centre of excellence in the Channel Islands for company secretarial services.

This role will provide opportunities for the right individual to help shape the new team being established in the Channel Islands, whilst at the same time joining an established team globally and providing the opportunity to work on key global clients of Deloitte.

Your role will involve managing a portfolio of clients and demonstrating very good understand of the subject matter. You will support clients by working as part of a multidisciplinary team to tackle some of our most complex client challenges. As a Manager, you will develop strong relationships with your clients and contribute to the growth of our practice. You will utilize your existing knowledge and skills set to develop both our people and our business. You will also be supported in deepening your own technical specialism, widening your cross service line and industry or market knowledge, and continue to develop your management skills.

Day to day the role will involve the following:

* Leading teams in the delivery of compliance engagements and working with other Deloitte business areas to implement delivery

* Staying up-to-date on the fiduciary, regulatory and statutory responsibilities of legal entities and their directors, officers, managers and partners and advising clients on such matters

* Managing the corporate records to support all transactions, filings, reports, and audits to fulfil these responsibilities. (Corporate reorganisations, post-M&A integrations).

* Engaging with technology solutions to provide leading edge innovation to clients

* Providing advice on the corporate entity lifecycle and the on-going compliance with local legislation and restructuring of global businesses

* Providing board meeting governance and support to clients

* Working closely alongside in-house company secretarial teams, including interim support solutions for clients

* Operational responsibility for finance and risk management of own matters

* Engaging with the market to drive development and growth of the business in the Channel Islands

This would be a perfect opportunity for a specialist Corporate Governance with an interest in joining a global professional services organisation to serve key clients.

Essentials:

* ACG with experience of working as a company secretary and/or with legal entity compliance.

* Demonstrates the ability to apply the requisite skills in a client-driven, commercially astute manner

* Understands the key issues on managing global group structures and their compliance issues.

* Experience of working in professional services and/or in a global organisation

* Enthusiasm for innovation and/or technology-aligned solutions

* Client-driven commercial awareness.

Tax

Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your Immediate Family Members are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
