Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?This is an exciting opportunity on the Regulatory Relations team as an Associate Director responsible for the execution of a consistent U.S. Confidential Supervisory Information (“CSI”) program that includes effective CSI training, communications, monitoring controls related to the management, distribution, and handling of CSI. The role also oversees the review and redaction of materials to remove of CSI from externally distributed bank information.What will you do?Lead ongoing education and outreach on CSI handling to generate reminders for heightened awareness, advise on policy-compliant solutions, and promote a culture of greater risk awareness, especially in relation to current CSI controlsCollaborate with partners in other Functions and segments to ensure consistent, insightful and clear communications to senior management on the CSI requirements.Update policy and create desk procedures to include key control points for stronger CSI management.Recommend triggers to be reviewed and signed off 1x/year in tandem with annual CSI policy review.In partnership with RBC's E-Communications Surveillance team, perform regular surveillance reviews of targeted CSI lexicons to detect internal and external emails that include potential unauthorized disclosures of CSICollaborate with Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) team to enact controls that prevent potential unauthorized disclosures of CSILead targeted reviews in response to inquiries from Legal, or Human Resources personnelMaintain tracking of unauthorized CSI disclosuresSummarize and prepare reporting that notifies policy violators and, when applicable, their respective management of breaches and the potential legal and reputational risk implications of improper CSI disclosureMaintain and continually enhance the process for reviewing CSI exception requests and approvals, working closely with key stakeholders, including internal and external legal counsel, auditors and other service providers (e.g., Consultants).Review Board and Committee materials and applies necessary redactions, as required to assist with 10b-5 requests and other CSI requirementsWhat do you need to succeed?7 or more years of experience of the financial services industry with focus on core firm functionsUnderstanding and experience of relevant banking and securities laws, regulations, directives and expectations specially w, r, and t confidential supervisory information and other nonpublic informationDirect experience in managing the procedures on the proper handling of CSIComfortable dealing with senior managementExcellent judgment and analytical skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsEffective organization skills, including the ability to prioritize between tasks and deadlinesAbility to effectively analyze risk to the organization of potential issues discoveredAbility to interact with regulators and in team settingAttention to detail and accuracy are essentialMaster's degree or law degree preferredSolid Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skillsWhat's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
