For additional information on CORE, please visit our website: www.medicine.yale.edu/core Reporting to the Executive Director, the primary role of the Associate Director, CORE Project Management Office (PMO), is to lead our government and non-government portfolio of contracts and grants by providing governance, alignment, management, and optimization across multiple projects to achieve success. Develop and implement processes and procedures to accomplish overall objectives and ensure teams meet deadlines and budgets for deliverables. Maintains direct oversight of large sized projects, including those involving multiple technologies, significant operational or implementation risks, complex business functionality, and broad implications for the business. Use experience and judgment to facilitate, plan and accomplish goals. Align top-down vision, goals, and objectives from business strategy through to the successful completion of projects. This role will provide leadership, training, influence and mentoring for project teams. Additionally, this role is responsible for the escalation of project related risks and issues and has accountability and overall programmatic ownership of project KPI metrics. This role will implement and monitor the short-term and long-term strategic direction for the CORE PMO. Will implement PMI based training related to contract budgeting, schedule management, resource management and other project management techniques. Will development, and train to, various project management policies and procedures. May also be responsible for supervising, overseeing, and assisting with operational tasks including but not limited to adequate staffing, implementing strategies for operational effectiveness, and managing direct reports. Serves as a member of the CORE management team and participates in strategic planning. The duties of this position are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary. Responsibilities:EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree in a technical or business-related field required. Graduate Degree in Business Management and or Administration, or Operations Management (or related field) strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in managing large scale projects and professional teams required. Project Management Professional (PMP) or related project management certification required. Excellent analytical, writing, verbal, and presentation communication skills required. Experience in healthcare industry or healthcare federal contract/grants experience is preferred, but not required. Experience with ERP systems or advanced project management software required. Mastery of skills related to role include organizational design, employee engagement and staff development, coaching, training, and support.
LICENSURE
PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or similar.
