Associate Director, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs Job Title: Associate Director, Fraternity and Sorority AffairsLocation: Syracuse UniversityPay Range: $63,000 - $70,000Pay rates are based on a combination of factors including job responsibilities, education, training, work experience, key competencies, and market analyses.Staff Level: S5FLSA Status: ExemptHours: Standard University business hours8:30am – 5:00pm (academic year)8:00am – 4:30pm (summer)Night and weekend hours are required as needed.Job Type: Full-timeJob Description: The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs invites applications for the Associate Director position. This role involves working with a vibrant fraternity and sorority community and contributing positively to a collaborative environment. The Associate Director will:Work closely with key stakeholders across the University.Advise at least 2 councils and several chapters.Manage the expansion process of the fraternity and sorority community, DEIA initiatives, and supervise two professional staff members.Assist in the development and support of advisors and alumni engagement initiatives.Oversee day-to-day operations of the office and ensure timely communication.Education and Experience: Master's degree with 4 or more years of full-time experience advising fraternities and sororities required. Understanding of relevant issues and trends; knowledge of applicable standards, policies, and best practices.Skills and Knowledge:Ability to read, edit, and negotiate artist and venue contracts.Knowledge of student development theory.Active involvement with the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors (AFA).Knowledge of best practices related to risk management.Responsibilities:Serve as the primary advisor to at least two councils and advise five to eight chapters.Advise councils on peer judicial processes and programming.Collaborate with FASA Director on advisor development.Train and supervise two full-time program coordinators.Manage the Social Event Registration process.Maintain a comprehensive calendar of fraternity and sorority events.Oversee coordination and implementation of the FASA Accreditation Program, DEIA programming, and new member education programming.Assist the Director with alumni and advisor engagement.Application Instructions: In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.About Syracuse University: Syracuse University is a private, international research university located in New York State.
