OVERVIEWAs an independent, nonprofit organization, Consumer Reports is a trusted partner to millions. Our 6m dedicated members share our commitment to putting the needs of consumers first when they access our ratings and reviews, participate in our research or support our advocacy efforts to make important marketplace changes. We are looking for someone to lead the development and implementation of the retention and gift campaigns for our 2.5mm print membership, as well as management and oversight of our fulfillment activities. As Associate Director, Membership Retention you will report to the Director, Membership Retention to drive our multi-channel marketing strategy for programs that account for $45mm in annual revenue and $8mm in expenses.If you have experience providing strategic guidance on marketing campaigns for print retention within publishing, focused on optimizing lifetime value and optimal customer experience, we'd be interested in speaking with you.Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position and is eligible for remote work up to 90% of the time. The successful candidate ideally resides within 75 miles of one of our Yonkers headquarters. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACTOur retention program ensures that supporters are able to receive the trusted information they need to make better choices for their family and stand up for consumer's rights. You will contribute to our efforts to keep this vital community strong by:Developing and overseeing retention campaigns (print and email), and guiding marketing strategies from test plans. Performing analysis for improving retention strategies and increasing credit card auto-renewals on all retention promotions Partnering with our Print fulfillment house by managing key vendor relations and overseeing circulation-related activities for all Consumer Reports (CR) publicationsManaging the budgeting and forecasting orders, revenue, and expenses for all retention programs for print products, partnering with Finance as needed on projections for renewal and pay rates Directing creative asset developmentIdentifying new analyses, reports, and streamlining processes for cost savings and/or revenue-generating ideas as the publishing landscape continues to evolveABOUT YOUYou'll Be Highly Rated If:You know the space. You have thorough knowledge of subscription or You are comfortable calculating the CPMs, reviewing trends, inputting and then analyzing and managing to a Profit & Loss statementYou have a proven track record. You have experience in retention marketing strategies with at least 10-years of progressive experience in publishing or membership. You know your way around a spreadsheet. You are skilled in Microsoft Excel.You can translate vision into action. You understand how the competitive landscape, marketing trends, best practice and technology can inform decisions. You have worked with outside vendors including a fulfillment house and creative agencies. You can market across multiple platforms. You have both deep email and direct mail experience. The target salary range for this position is $155k to $165K. This posted range is reflective of the NY/CA market. Offers may vary for candidates hired in other locations. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range.
