I. POSITION Associate Director of Annual GivingII. PRIMARY PURPOSEReporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the Associate Director of Annual Giving has overall responsibility for the coordination and successful execution of all annual fundraising activities.This individual will be responsible for taking actions to build and managing a vibrant annual fundraising effort while having an active and vital in the growth our fundraising efforts. This position will require working closely with all members of the Development Team, Boston MedFlight leadership team, as well as staff at every level of the organization. III. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- This position is responsible for increasing annual giving revenue, broadening the base of support through donor acquisition, and through strong collaboration with the CDO, build a major gift pipeline.
- The Director manages BMF's annual giving calendar, ensuring that all solicitations are segmented, targeted, maintain key performance metrics, and are delivered on time.
- Strategically use print and digital formats to drive an integrated multi-channel approach to regularly engage current and prospective donors.
- Serve as a lead partner and strategist for third-party fundraising efforts, with an aim to foster growth in this space.
- Utilizes annual events to secure increased philanthropic support, works collaboratively with the events coordinator to do so.
- In collaboration with department colleagues, consistently measures progress and evaluating all aspects of the annual giving program.
- Appropriately engages with a deep portfolio of current and prospective donors
- Develops and takes action against a strategy to increase the number of donors each year with a strong emphasis on donor retention.
- Partners with colleagues to utilize data segmentation and messaging to create personal and positive interactions with donors and prospective donors.
- Understands and supports the activation of a moves management system to build donor engagement and increased support.
- Utilizes and understands the importance of a donor database to track efforts and information helpful in building donor relationships.
- Consistently attends community functions and initiates and develops relationships with members of the communities we serve.
- Serves key role in volunteer management, engagement and communication.
- Works with Chief Development Officer on additional projects as assigned.

Unrestricted travel by air or ground.Public speaking. V. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 3 years of non-profit experience in a professional fundraising environment.
- Must have at least 2 years in an annual giving department, actively working on the duties assigned to this role.
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
- Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
- Must have excellent communications and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must.
- Must be a highly energetic professional with a track record of building donor relationships.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with internal staff
- Must possess the ability to comply with Boston MedFlight's policies and procedures and to model Boston MedFlight's Core Values at all times.
