Description/Job SummaryThis position assists and supports the Director of English Language Services and Basic Skills with the development of academic English language and basic skills programs. This includes oversight for credit and non-credit English Language Instruction (ELI), Pre-GED for ESL, and basic skills and work-related English instruction.Responsibilities/DutiesAdminister and allocate appropriate funds within budget;Administer and monitor special contracts;Generate program data and reports as required by granting agency;Develop grant proposals for program funding;Oversee services for employment preparation for adult refugees;Oversee provision of services to refugee youth to ensure development of the knowledge and skills necessary for academic success and positive acculturationOversee all Refugee and Citizenship programs (RAP, RYP, Citizenship, and SOR);Project (RYP) program updates, including but not limited to student enrollment, scheduling, learning outcomes, instructor quality, curricula, and partner engagement;Supervise the Citizenship Preparation and Services to Older Refugees programs. This includes scheduling class, hiring staff, and maintaining appropriate data as outlined by MORA;Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff. Plan, initiate, and supervise all publications and PR for all Refugee & Citizenship programsDesign and implement support services for all Refugee ESL and Citizenship Preparation programs, including volunteer programs, internships and cooperative programs;Manage program budgets;Direct College Link efforts facilitating student transition into credit College and non-credit training programs in collaboration with Academic Affairs, Adult Education and Workforce Development units;Perform other duties as required to accomplish goals of the unit and WDCE;Generate enrollment, FTE and revenue;Develop strategic plans for the area;Develop new business and community partnerships;Collect student outcomes and related program data and report as required;Ensure program quality and monitor student success;Market academic and basic skills programs and direct recruitment and retention activities;Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Language Arts or related field.At least 3 years in higher education or K-12.At least 5 years supervisory experiencePreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Language Arts or related field.At least 7 years in higher education or K-12At least 7 years supervisory experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
