The CSU Health Network at Colorado State University offers mental health and primary care medical services for over 30,000 CSU -Fort Collins students on campus, referral for community specialty care, and comprehensive health education and prevention services programming. Information Technology

Information Technology at the CSU Health Network has primary responsibility for the system architecture and infrastructure (hardware, software platforms and platform interfaces) of the CSU Health Network services. The Information Technology staff provides a full range of technology services, including application support, desktop support, remote work support, interfaces with third-party health care vendors, systems administration, network administration and security management. Information Technology provides services between the hours of 8:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work is required to perform system maintenance and upgrades.

Position Summary

The Associate Director of Information Technology provides vision and oversight of the CSU Health Networks IT and assessment systems. The position entails management of professional staff, strategic planning, health record application and operations management, process improvement, project management, organizational assessment and expense management.

Scope includes electronic health record applications, laboratory, pharmacy and other IT infrastructure utilized by the organization to support secure and efficient clinical care. This position is also primarily responsible for liaising with campus IT offices and ensuring that the needs of CSU Health Network services are clearly represented in campus IT offices responsible for telephone call centers, A/V functions and desktop office software.

Information Technology supports the electronic health record applications and infrastructure, utilized by the organization to manage the student health information of 30,000 active students; CSU Health Network employee health records; and CSU employee public health records (e.g., COVID immunization status) according to security requirements and record retention guidelines.

This position is a member of the CSU Health Network Leadership Team and represents the CSU Health Network on campus-wide technology-focused teams and committees. The position ensures that CSU Health Network technology and technology support embodies CSUs Principles of Community, inclusion and belonging.

The Associate Director of Information Technology reports to the Executive Director, CSU Health Network.

Required Job Qualifications

Education

+ Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related field OR Associates degree plus 2 years of related work experience in Information Systems, OR High School Diploma (or GED ) plus 4 years of related work experience in Information Systems.

Experience

+ Minimum of five years of recent experience managing an information technology department with a variety of roles and responsibilities, which must include supervision, work plans, performance review and expense management

+ Demonstrated project management experience in defining scope, scheduling, assessing resources and implementation

+ Experience in strategicITplanning for departmental and organizational levels

+ Experience with data analytics software (examples: Excel, SSAS , Qualtrics)

+ Experience with PowerBi back end and front end, or equivalent

+ Work experience related to privacy control measures, such as Federal and State HIPAA security laws

+ Oversee the electronic health record applications and infrastructure utilized at the Health Network to securely track and manage health information for all CSU -Fort Collins students.

+ Manage a full range of Information technology services, including application support, help desk, client computing, systems administration, audio/video administration, data and systems integration, solutions development, network administration and security management.

+ Identify and mitigate security risks in compliance with University requirements and according to accepted IT industry best practices in coordination with the Universitys IT Security Office.

+ Perform risk management by identifying potential risks in Health Network information systems and determining the technical and process needs required to safeguard business data, goals and strategies.

+ Keep current on Federal and State regulations impacting the management and security of healthcare information and implement technical and process solutions to address these as appropriate.

+ Participate in the annual budget planning process, owning the Information Technology department budget and ongoing expense management.

+ Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors for the management of third-party Information Technology applications and hardware.
