Location : Midland, MIJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 03312Division: Enrollment ManagementDepartment: UG Admissions TraditionalOpening Date: 04/05/2024Closing Date: ContinuousRoles The Associate Director of Operations for Admissions will collaborate with the Director of Admissions to oversee all new student enrollment operations and functions and provide support and supervision to the undergraduate admissions team. This will include everything operationally supporting the enrollment funnel and training of admissions counselors as well as active involvement with the CRM. Any other tasks directed by the Director and Vice President of Enrollment, any other necessary operational support the admissions team needs. Responsibilities
- Maintain clear communication with the Director on all enrollment functions/activities
- This person may assist in training a team of admissions staff to achieve enrollment objectives
- Conduct training initiatives as assigned i.e. phone calling, email outreach
- Assess, develop, and implement plans targeting each assigned market
- Submit accurate and timely information on activity and productivity to the Director - this could include support assigned by territory and managing recruiters/region
- Work with the Director of Admissions on data analytics and how it can facilitate new student recruitment
- Potential to maintain a territory and work with specific target audiences as assigned by the director
- Collaborate with counselors to ensure the overall enrollment plans for assigned territories align with the strategic plans of enrollment and the university as relayed by the Director and VP of Enrollment Management
- As necessary, provide input and assist the Director in developing budgets in the assigned area
- Conduct campus visits
- Provide support to all campus events initiated by the admissions department
- Prove Support to counselors on application and data management
- Work closely with Database manager to ensure data in CRM (Slate) is correct and accurate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years in enrollment management, specifically admissions
- 1 year of experience managing people
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license at time of hire and maintain valid driver's license while employed; ability to sit in car for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to travel (intrastate, interstate, regional and/or international where appropriate)
- Demonstrated experience working in teams, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Lync, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Slate
- Willingness and ability to work irregular hours, evenings and weekends
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations
Expectations
- Report to the Director of Admissions
- Achieve defined enrollment activity goals for individual territory assignment as well as an assigned region
- Process and utilize systems in place to measure the effectiveness of recruitment activity
- Manage assigned enrollment personnel in a professional manner
- Submit any required activity and expense reports accurately and timely
- Conduct weekly teleconference meetings with assigned representatives to coach and provide feedback to Director regarding representatives' activities
- This position could include overnight travel
- Weekend and irregular hours may be required
- Attend Graduation
- Spend to 5-7 business days per month in assigned representative territories to coach and work with admissions representatives
- Conduct special training initiatives when necessary as assigned by the Director
