  • Directs the administrative process associated with all contractual proposals and awards.
  • Negotiates contractual terms and conditions with funding agencies/ sponsors.
  • Reviews final contractual terms and award notices prior to institutional signature and distribution.
  • Serves as an authorized institutional signatory for specific types of sponsored research proposals and agreements.
  • Assists organizational representatives with issues related to sponsored research contracts by serving as liaison to funding agencies/sponsors and the institution to resolve questions or issues.
  • Assists in maintaining and compiling data to generate management reports.
  • Hires, trains and supervises staff.
  • Assists with the development of office processes and procedures.
  • Conducts training and educational sessions for faculty and staff on contract award management, contractual issues and institutional policies regarding sponsored research contract awards.
  • Assists the Director with special projects.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight years of professional management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
    • Extensive experience with review and negotiation of a variety of sponsored research contracts.NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed and at times, on short notice.
