This position is accountable for those pharmacy services which require pharmaceutical education and state licensure; leadership experience and extensive clinical and professional judgment. The Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations is responsible for assisting the Chief Pharmacy Officer with the oversight of all pharmacy operations at SBH Health System, including planning, organizing and supervising staff activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. Education: B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy, a Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy is preferred. Licensing/Certifications: Active pharmacist license in good standing with the New York State Board of Pharmacy Experience:

• At least 5 years of hospital pharmacy practice experience, previous pharmacy management experience is preferred

• A total of three years of hospital pharmacy experience with PGY-2 Training in Pharmacy Management

• Possesses excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and handle stress appropriately
• Can work well with other disciplines and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule
• Is able to manage a diverse workforce
• Knows how to organize and prioritize work while illustrating good time management skills
• Exhibits professional attitude in dealings with co-workers, patients and vendors
• Can proficiently read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Is open to training/giving and receiving directives
