Our company is actively seeking an Associate Director, Private Investment Reporting analyst to support the day-to-day maintenance of alternative investments data and complex ownership structures.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support all internal reporting needs across the firm's investments in private capital.
  • Conduct private investment valuation and transaction updates using data from third-party sources.
  • Assist in managing the team's data reconciliation efforts and other reconciliation processes.
  • Proactively manage multiple projects related to new private investment onboarding. Provide routine updates to senior team members and oversee to completion.
  • Oversee migrating large data sets using multiple reporting systems and collaborating with other departments as needed to oversee successful completion.
  • Work with fund administrators and other vendors to establish and verify accuracy of data feeds.
  • Collaborate with advisors and client relationship specialists in onboarding new client's private investment allocations.
  • Work directly and develop relationships with fund administrators and third-party vendors.
  • Remain current with Cresset's private investment allocations, including all fund managers and administrators.
  • Maintain a personal commitment to professional development and cultivating strong relationships with other departments at Cresset.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services focused on reporting, preferably in wealth management.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of private capital investments and related fund legal structures.
  • Advanced fund accounting and operational knowledge in reporting across the universe of private capital investments (e.g., private equity, private debt, structured credit, real estate, hedge funds, and other open- and closed-ended fund structures).
  • Extensive working experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets.
  • Strong understanding of Global Investment Performance Standard (GIPS) and application in performance calculations and reporting methodologies on private fund structure.
  • Strong Excel skills required. Background in accounting and financial modeling preferred.
  • Ability to lead independently and in an operations-focused, fact paced team environment.
  • Strong project and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation capability.
  • Must be able to perform successfully under pressure in an intellectually challenging, service-oriented environment and enhance the business in keeping with Cresset's values and culture.

What We Offer:

Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
