Our mission is to provide cost-effective, reliable, and resilient utility services that empower the University to excel in its academic and research goals.If you're passionate about energy, innovation, and sustainability, this is your chance to be part of a team that keeps Mizzou running and thriving!Job Description Summary: Oversee the operation and support of all Operational Technology (OT) and IT systems and applications used for producing, delivering, and managing utilities services to the campus, ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability to meet the operational needs of the department.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design, installation, operation, and support of all Operation Technology (OT) and IT hardware, software, control, and network systems used for reliability producing, delivering, and managing utilities to the campus.
  • Oversee the design, installation, operation, upgrades, and expansion of all process controls systems, including Wonderware System Platform, Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell Automation, Johnson Controls Metasys, and other platforms. Ensure all applicable security updates are applied in addition to program updates to maintain reliability of systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization and lead initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience, driving operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the design, installation, management, and support of network security hardware and software used for securing all OT systems including software, IT/OT devices, and network infrastructure. Develop and oversee policies and procedures for securing network assets.
  • Oversee the design, installation, management, and support of the installation, expansion, and upgrades of the Utility Process Control (OT) Network infrastructure including networking devices and cabling infrastructure including fiber optic and copper structured cabling.
  • Oversee the design, installation, management, and support of data historians including OSI Pi and Wonderware. Oversee the development of interfaces, analysis, and visualization of historian and real-time data.
  • Oversee the design, development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of all OT/IT in-house developed desktop, web, database applications, and custom interfaces.
  • Oversee and manage all OT/IT projects and priorities for department.
  • Oversee the purchase of all OT/IT systems. Analyze, specify, and review specifications to ensure compliance with policies and compatibility of systems.
  • Oversee and manage budget used for purchasing and maintaining OT/IT systems.
  • Oversee and manage OT/IT staff. Provide work and project assignments in addition to mentoring, training, and assistance.
Shift 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessaryPreferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is preferred. Consideration for a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or directly related field will be considered.
  • Experience with overall management of OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, DCS, EMCS, BAS, and HMI.
  • Experience with integration of IT/OT systems.
  • Cybersecurity technical experience with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in network protocols and communication technologies used in OT environments (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, BACnet, OPC) and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with process controls network devices and cabling infrastructure, including hands-on roles in supporting routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with software development using object-oriented programming principles, methodologies and languages and database systems.
  • A valid driver's license which will allow the legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri is required.
