This new leadership structure will strengthen our ability to expand our person-directed care philosophy and deepen our impact as we create new solutions and a “Best Life” for our entire continuum of care. As we embark on a 5-year journey to design, build, and operate four new Green House homes, licensed as skilled nursing, we need an experienced leader who can bring true culture and physical change to our elder care system. Compensation: 160-190K depending on experience + performance-based bonus. Relocation assistance available!

What you will do:

Under limited supervision, the AED partners with the Executive Director as a co-leader of the Life Plan Community and directly conducts the affairs of the Health Center as the licensed Nursing Home Administrator. This position has shared responsibility with the Executive Director for Assisted Living and Memory Care, along with Resident Independent living in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, laws and ordinances. S/he will manage and control the functions of the health services programs to provide quality services within budgetary boundaries. Our Health Center provides care in accordance with our “Philosophy for Person-Directed Care.” The Associate Executive Director will also support administration directives set forth by the Board of Directors and President of HumanGood' s mission and conducts affairs of the local Community. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Co-manager of the entire community directly or through subordinate managers including the Director of Human Resources, Director of Nursing, Medical Records, Village Lifestyle and Activities and Village Admissions.
  • Budget responsibility for the Life Plan Community is shared with the Executive Director and operates within the established budget guidelines for revenue and expenses.

  • Contractual Relations Management - Medical Director, Physicians, Therapy Team, Psych Services, Pharmacy and other ancillary service providers. Leads planning process to develop goals for quality care, team member retention and financial performance;

  • Partner with Residents and Team Members to create and sustain a “Best Life” culture where people want to live and want to work.
  • Collaborate with Executive Director on new initiatives and innovations that improve the long-term care experience for all stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in one of the professional disciplines concerned with service to people such as social work, hospital administration, business, theology, public administration or a related field
  • Graduate work in any of the aforementioned fields desirable
  • A valid NHA license to administer a Skilled Nursing Facility in California
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator
  • Membership and active participation in professional and community service organizations is preferred
  • Experience managing large-scale renovation and construction projects
  • Passion for creating a culture of person-directed care
  • Valid driver's license
