Job Description:

RiversEdge Advisors is a financial planning firm in Wilmington, DE. We are a fee-based firm located in the heart of Downtown Wilmington. The firm is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to support our continued growth and to help manage existing client relationships. Responsibilities Include:

  • Support lead advisors in managing client relationships and delivering personalized financial planning and investment management services
  • This role involves both client-facing tasks and essential back-office support, including preparing and processing Schwab paperwork, assisting with financial plan development, and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Lead client performance review meetings for investment only clients
  • Service client accounts
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, including gathering necessary information and documentation
  • Follow up on client meeting action items and address client inquiries promptly to ensure high client satisfaction
  • Support the creation of comprehensive financial plans tailored to clients' goals and financial situations
  • Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow projections, retirement planning, tax planning and investment analysis
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for client meetings
  • Assist in the implementation of investment strategies and monitor client portfolios
  • Prepare and process Schwab paperwork, including account openings, transfers, and other account maintenance tasks
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately and timely completed, adhering to compliance requirements
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files and records
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices
  • Pursue relevant certifications and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills
Position Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Series65 or equivalent certification required
  • CFP designation a plus
  • Experience with Schwab paperwork and a strong understanding of Schwab's systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent client service communication
  • Desire to work in a team environment and be a team player
  • Familiarity with our current systems is a plus, but not required: Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, eMoney, Schwab, Orion
  • Must be a self-starter and a problem solver
  • Strong attention to detail
