Are you passionate about shaping the future of behavioral health?

Our client is searching for a dynamic regulatory attorney to own the Healthcare Law and Policy arms of their legal function, helping them to navigate the evolving landscape of healthcare regulations and drive policy initiatives that could influence the future of behavioral health at large.

Youll be the go-to expert on telehealth regulations, privacy laws, and policy initiatives, ensuring they stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape. Working closely with a number of cross functional teams, youll play a pivotal role in guiding the organizations strategic and regulatory direction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • J.D. with admission to any United States State Bar
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory law
  • Expertise in healthcare regulations (e.g., telehealth laws, AKS, FCA, Medicaid reimbursement, HIPAA)
  • Comfortability with a fast-paced, client-facing role
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Combination of law firm and in-house experience not required, but preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare policy and innovation

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take autonomous ownership over regulatory, compliance, and policy-related matters.
  • Provide counsel on a broad variety of healthcare regulations, including telehealth, reimbursement policies, corporate practice of medicine, provider licensure, and scope of practice
  • Monitor and assess federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory changes, proactively addressing potential impacts
  • Lead policy initiatives, coordinating external policy support and advocating for organizational priorities
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations, including HIPAA and applicable state laws
  • Collaborate with and oversee outside counsel on regulatory and privacy matters as needed

**In Office Expectations:

*4x days in-office weekly if in NYC

*2x days in-office weekly or 8x days in-office monthly for those outside of NYC
