Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Senior Level Energy/Infrastructure Finance Associate to join our client s dynamic team in New York. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in project finance and a strong background in energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and private equity transactions. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled legal professional to advance their career at a top-tier law firm renowned for its collaborative culture and high-profile client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of project finance transactions, including the development, construction, and financing of energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex project finance documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Advise clients on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of financing arrangements for energy and infrastructure projects, including renewable energy, oil and gas, mining, and transportation.
  • Conduct thorough legal due diligence, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality legal services and achieve client objectives.
  • Stay current with legal developments, industry trends, and best practices in project finance and energy/infrastructure law.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including client relationship management and participation in industry events.

Requirements:

  • JD from a top-tier law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 3-8 years of experience in project finance, with a focus on energy, natural resources, infrastructure, and private equity transactions, preferably at a leading law firm.
  • Strong expertise in handling complex financing arrangements, with a deep understanding of relevant legal principles and industry practices.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional legal services.
