We are in an exciting growth phase for the company, seeking high-energy, high-performing individuals to join us! We re seeking someone with a background in accounting to support our work with startups. This role will work directly with customers, performing standard bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities, while leveraging our technology stack, automation tools, standard processes, and operating model.

What You d Do

  • Own the day-to-day servicing of customers and ensure the most valuable work is being prioritized, while maintaining internal control environment and adherence to company SOPs.
  • Manage financial operations and month end closes for assigned customers, which include: Invoicing & A/R, Bill Payment & A/P, Bank Account Reconciliation, Sales Tax Accounting & Filing.
  • Operate as the account manager for a variety of customers.
  • Review, understand and analyze financial reporting (i.e., Balance Sheet, P&L, Cashflow, etc.) for your customers.
  • Leverage software and automation tools in performing day-to-day customer work.
  • Be the go-to expert on financial operations and the systems used for customers.
  • Work closely with startup founders and C-Suite teams of our customers.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting, tax preparation, reporting and financial analysis projects
  • Periodically lead or support team members and management on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Demonstrate your ability to use good judgment in balancing the needs of customers while delivering an appropriate level of service and effectively collaborating cross- functionally with fellow team members.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate with customers and team members across various channels.
  • Utilize workflow management tools to ensure all work items are visible to the team, tracked to completion and in line with standards/expectations.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, by speaking confidently on all meaningful, ongoing customer matters/initiatives and that they are being delivered on plan.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve operations and company processes.
  • Asks questions, offers ideas and suggest solutions.
  • Exhibit our company s brand, culture, and core values.

What You've Got

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting/finance experience.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles, like accrual vs. cash, financial statements, general ledgers, relationships between accounts, and journal entries.
  • Experience performing accounting/finance for multiple clients at a time.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using multiple software tools in everyday workflow.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is preferred
  • Able to think outside the box, effectively problem solve and collaborate with others with an eye to potential solutions.
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills, with a passion for customer success.
  • Passion for continuous learning and general curiosity.
  • Must be detail-oriented, well organized, able to prioritize effectively, manage time and projects effectively.
  • Commitment and ability to meet critical business deadlines.
