Purpose and Scope of the Position

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented US Medical Scientist Associate to join our medical affairs – targeted therapies team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing the targeted therapies medical strategy, including promotional review. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for contributing to the advancement of the thoracic portfolio. This individual must display excellent communication skills in dealing with internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

Required Competencies:

  • Strong scientific acumen and excellent communication skills is required.
  • Prior promotional review experience preferred.
  • PharmD, MD, PhD with a minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical practice or the pharmaceutical industry.

Thoracic & Emerging Tumors Home Office Medical Team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Critical review and recommend changes to promotional materials/activities to ensure balance of the messages, medical accuracy, and appropriateness of the content of the materials/activities in accordance with relevant guidance.
  • Responsible for providing input and advice to conduct the review of promotional materials for scientific/medical validity.
  • Support execution of the US Medical Affairs plans in coordination with the Global Medical Affairs and other cross-functional teams.
  • Represent US Medical Affairs as a therapeutic area expert in both internal and external venues, including the US and Global cross-functional teams.
  • Support various Medical Affairs cross-functional working groups.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs field colleagues to guide and execute therapeutic regional strategies and tactics with appropriate use of resources.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings (training, educational, and other matrix meetings) to remain current on ever-changing regulations, relevant new medical/scientific information, and strategy.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with demonstrated success in driving optimal business results in a complex matrix organization required.
