About the Role Our Landlord/Tenant/Habitability Team handles wrongful eviction defense; commercial and residential unlawful detainer proceedings; and matters involving Rent Stabilization Ordinance. The team represents landlords and property management companies relating to all aspects of building safety and health code issues in rental properties. Associates work closely with lead attorneys daily, engaging in all phases of litigationfrom case evaluation and discovery to trial presentationfocusing on strategic thinking to achieve client goals. Responsibilities Attending court hearings, participating in site inspections, taking and defending depositions. Propounding and responding to written discovery. Evaluating, analyzing, assessing, and executing litigation strategies. Proactively manage communications with clients throughout the course of litigation. Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing. Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting. Excellent writing and communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to case analysis. Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written. Company Offers Salary starting at $110,000 - $160,000 + bonus. Salary is commensurate with experience.
