Job Description:
Steptoe LLP, seeks an associate with 1 to 4 years of experience to join the Firm's Intellectual Property (IP) practice group in its Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco or Washington, DC office. Ideal candidates will have litigation, trade secret and other soft IP experience. A bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science is preferred but not required. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. We are looking for candidates who can and want to assume immediate responsibility and who are willing to work as an integral part of a high performing and collaborative team. Admission to the Illinois, California, New York or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing, is also required. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
